Rotala Rotundifolia Platinum is a relatively new species of Rotala available in the planted aquarium hobby. This aquatic plant staple is a variation of the classic aquarium plant, Rotala Rotundifolia, but with a very intense change in hue. Rotala Rotundifolia Platinum, sometimes referred to as Rotala White, is extremely picky and most suitable for experienced aquarists. Sufficient aquarium LED lighting, CO2 injection, nutrient-dense aquarium soil, soft water, and an aquatic plant fertilizer are suggested for its care. If inadequate lighting is provided, the bottom portions of the Rotala will die off and rot. However, when planted in the right conditions with consistent care, this stem plant will form a lush hedge that is perfect as a midground or background addition depending on the aquarium tank size. If successful, Rotala Rotundifolia Platinum is a treat for those who are able to keep it alive!

Tissue culture aquarium plants are grown in-vitro by laboratories who specialize in propagating aquatic plants. There is a huge selection of plant species that have been propagated this way. This is truly the best option for those who want absolutely zero unwanted pests, algae and pesticides. This makes them perfect for shrimp keepers and any planted tank enthusiasts alike.

NOTE: It is important to remove the tissue culture agar gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away, divide, and plant.
